What we're buying

“No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn.”

Spring at Artifact always feels like a reset - layers get lighter. Textures get more interesting. People start reaching for pieces that feel expressive again. This season, we’re drawn to contrast. Soft next to structured. Romantic mixed with sporty. Vintage silhouettes styled in modern ways.

On the femme side, we’re loving movement and drama. Fringe that sways when you walk, bubble hems and peplums that play with proportion, lace and Victorian details that feel delicate but not precious. There’s something about high necklines, puff sleeves and sheer layers that feels just right for spring, especially when grounded with denim or a worn-in boot.

We’re also seeing a wink of early 2000s energy sneak back in - sporty jackets, fitted tees, retro sneakers - balanced by graphic 60’s prints, polka dots and stripes that aren’t afraid to make a statement. It’s playful. It’s confident. It doesn’t take itself too seriously.

On the masc side, the vibe is relaxed but intentional. Heritage pieces, classic Americana, well-made leather bags and outerwear with a little volume. Think chore coats, oversized bombers, bold suiting in unexpected tones. Pieces that feel lived in or built to last long enough to get there.

There’s also a softness happening - slouchy knits, easy trousers, loafers, polished details, a little “soft boy” energy that pairs just as easily with a vintage crossbody as it does with clean white sneakers. Add a subtle western detail or a 90’s-inspired silhouette and it all just works.
